No. The patro, panchang, live radio and exchange rates all work as soon as you open the app.
You only need to sign in to keep notes, save favourite stations or post on the community map. Signing in with Apple or Google takes a few seconds.
Use the language toggle in the app header. The whole app switches together, including dates, month names and festival names.
Updates often fix bugs, so try this first if something isn't working.
Kura uses Sign in with Apple or Google. We never see or store your Apple or Google password.
If sign-in fails or keeps loading:
Notes and favourites belong to the account you signed in with. Signing in with Apple and signing in with Google create two separate Kura accounts, even if both use the same email.
If you picked Hide My Email with Apple, that also counts as a separate address.
If you chose Hide My Email when signing in with Apple, Apple gives Kura a private relay address instead of your real email. Messages we send there are forwarded to your real inbox.
To see or manage it, go to Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Kura.
Send a deletion request from our contact form or by email to admin@nepalikura.app, preferably from the email linked to your Kura account. We'll confirm it's you, then delete your account, notes, favourites and community posts from our active systems, usually within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Kura Pro subscription. The App Store handles billing, so cancel it first (see “How do I cancel Kura Pro?” below).
If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also stop using it with Kura at Settings → [your name] → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple → Kura.
Kura is free to download, and the basics stay free: the patro and panchang, exchange rates, Kura's core tabs and up to 3 personal notes.
Kura Pro is an optional subscription. It adds calendar sync across your devices, background playback for the radio, unlimited notes and no ads. The price for your region is shown in the app before you pay.
Your subscription is tied to the store account that paid for it, not to the phone.
Apple handles Kura Pro billing on iPhone, so you cancel it with Apple. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Apple processes all App Store payments, so refunds on iPhone go through Apple. We can't issue them ourselves.
Kura calculates the BS–AD conversion, tithi, paksha, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise and sunset for Nepal. Festival dates follow the officially published Nepali patro.
These times depend on where you are. If Kura can't use your location, it falls back to a default location, so the times may be for somewhere else.
Please tell us. Include the festival name, the date Kura shows, the date you expected, and where you saw it (for example, a printed patro or a government notice). We check every correction.
Free accounts can keep up to 3 personal notes. Kura Pro removes the limit.
Notes are saved to your account, so sign in to keep them.
Stations stream live from each broadcaster. Sometimes a station is off air or its server is down, so it helps to try more than one.
Yes. Background playback is part of Kura Pro. With Pro, the radio keeps playing when you lock your phone or switch apps, and you can control it from the Lock Screen and Control Center.
Very likely. Send us the station name and city, and a link to its website or live stream if you have one.
The Aaja tab shows USD, CAD, AUD, AED, GBP, EUR and KWD against the Nepali rupee, refreshed every hour, with a converter underneath.
These are reference rates. Your bank or remittance service may use a slightly different rate, so check with them before sending money.
Not yet. Both are on our roadmap. Tell us if you'd use them, because requests help us decide what to build first.
Sign in, open the map and add your moment. Other people see your post as a pin at or near the location you chose, so pick a spot you're comfortable sharing.
You can delete your own posts in the app at any time.
Contact us and include the username, what the post says or shows, roughly where it appears on the map, and why you're reporting it. We review every report and may remove content or suspend accounts that break our Terms.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Open Settings → Kura. There you can change Location, Photos, Notifications and Mobile Data at any time.
Kura works without location. You'll just see times for a default location instead of where you are.
Ads help keep Kura free. Kura Pro removes them.
You choose whether apps can track you when iPhone asks. To change it later, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We never sell your personal information. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Contact us and we'll confirm it's you before we act.
Try these in order. Most problems are fixed by the first two.
Calendar sync across devices is included with Kura Pro. It works across iPhone and Android too, as long as you use the same Kura account.
Tell us what you did, what you expected and what happened instead. These details help us reproduce it quickly:
Kura is made by a small team, and a real person reads every message. It helps to include:
